Before the Day Gets Busy
Some mornings become crowded before they truly begin. Messages, schedules, traffic, unfinished work, and family responsibilities can quickly take over our attention. This prayer creates a small space of stillness before the rush, helping us remember that God is present before the first task is completed and before any problem is solved.
God, before the noise begins, I want to remember that You are already here. Before the emails, errands, traffic, deadlines, and conversations, quiet my heart. I do not want to spend the whole day reacting to everything around me and forget Your presence within it. Give me enough stillness to hear what matters, enough patience to move at the right pace, and enough wisdom to know what can wait. Keep me from carrying unnecessary hurry into every room I enter. Let me work hard without becoming anxious, care deeply without trying to control everything, and rest in the truth that I am not holding the world together. You are.
Amen.
