A Prayer for Work With Integrity
Work is not only about income or achievement. It can also become a place where character, service, honesty, and responsibility are practiced. Whether someone is employed, leading others, working from home, or searching for a job, this prayer asks God to make daily labor faithful without allowing productivity to become the measure of personal worth.
God, thank You for the work in front of me today, whether it feels meaningful, repetitive, demanding, or uncertain. Help me do it honestly. Keep me from cutting corners when no one is watching, from using people to get ahead, or from letting frustration make me careless. Give me focus for the tasks that require attention and humility for the tasks that receive no recognition. If I lead others, make me fair. If I answer to others, make me dependable. If I am looking for work, keep discouragement from defining me. Remind me that my deepest identity is not my job title, income, or productivity. Let my work become one place where faithfulness is practiced and where my neighbor is served.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
