From Adam to the apostles — and everyone in between
Who's Who in the Bible is a complete, searchable catalog of the individuals, families, nations, and heavenly beings named across all 66 books of Scripture. For each one you'll find a short profile, where they fit in the biblical story, their family and people where known, and a full list of the chapters that mention them — every reference links directly to that passage in our online Bible (NIV).
You can search by name, but also explore by role (kings, priests, prophets, judges, apostles…), by era of the story (the Patriarchs, the Exodus, the Monarchy, the Exile, the New Testament), by tribe or nation, and by testament — so you can discover people you never knew were there.
A note on the sources
Character profiles and identifications draw on open, scholarly datasets and are offered as a study aid rather than the final word on any disputed identity. Descriptions are adapted from STEPBible TIPNR and BibleData (both CC BY 4.0), mapped against the NIV text used in our reader. Where a person's identity is debated, we've kept them as listed in those sources rather than merging or splitting names automatically.
