A Prayer for Integrity When No One Is Watching
Character at work is often revealed in choices that receive no public attention. This prayer is for moments when there is an opportunity to cut corners, hide a mistake, misuse resources, exaggerate results, or choose convenience over what is right simply because no one seems likely to notice.
Lord God, make me honest in the unseen parts of my work. Keep me from cutting corners, misrepresenting facts, taking credit that belongs to someone else, or hiding what should be brought into the light. Give me courage to do what is right even when it costs me time, comfort, approval, or advantage. Let my private choices match the values I claim publicly. If I make a mistake, help me own it quickly and repair what I can. Form in me a character that does not depend on supervision because I remember that I ultimately work before You.
