A Prayer for Courage to Stand Up for Someone Else
It takes courage to defend someone who is being mistreated, especially when speaking up may carry social or professional cost. This prayer asks for wise, practical courage on behalf of others.
Lord, give me courage when someone else is being mistreated. Help me not to look away simply because speaking up is inconvenient. Give me wisdom to act in a way that actually helps rather than making the situation worse. Show me whether I should speak, report, document, accompany, or seek additional support. Protect the person who is vulnerable and keep me faithful to justice with humility.
