A Prayer for Courage to Set Boundaries
Healthy boundaries can feel uncomfortable when others are used to having unlimited access to our time, energy, or emotions. This prayer asks for courage to be clear without becoming cruel.
God, give me courage to set the boundaries that are necessary for health, safety, and honesty. Help me speak clearly without overexplaining or attacking. Protect me from guilt when someone is disappointed by a reasonable limit. Teach me the difference between love and constant availability. Let my yes be sincere and my no be respectful.
