A Prayer of Praise for God's Holiness
Biblical praise often begins with the holiness of God — His complete purity, goodness, and otherness. This prayer responds with reverence rather than casual familiarity.
Holy, holy, holy are You, Lord God Almighty. There is no darkness in You and no corruption in Your ways. Your goodness is pure, Your judgments are righteous, and Your presence is worthy of reverence. Cleanse my worship from carelessness and self-centeredness. Let awe return to my heart as I remember that You are near and yet infinitely greater than I can comprehend.
Amen.
