A Prayer for Pain Relief
Persistent pain can affect sleep, concentration, mood, and hope. This prayer brings that pain honestly before God while asking for relief, treatment, and strength to endure without minimizing the suffering.
Jesus, You know how much this pain is affecting me. I ask for relief. Help the treatments, medications, therapies, or changes that may reduce it. Give wisdom to the professionals helping me and patience when answers are not immediate. Protect me from despair when pain narrows my world. Help me rest when I can, ask for help when I need it, and remember that my suffering is seen.
