A Prayer for Chronic Illness
Chronic illness can reshape routines, energy, work, relationships, and expectations. This prayer asks for healing while also seeking endurance, good care, dignity, and grace for a condition that may not resolve quickly.
God, You know how tiring it is to live with symptoms that do not simply disappear. I ask for healing, but I also ask for strength for the days when healing feels far away. Help me find wise doctors, effective treatment, and practical support. Protect me from shame about what my body cannot do. Give me courage to explain my limits and wisdom to use my energy carefully. Keep this illness from becoming the only story I tell about myself. Meet me in weakness with grace, and help me receive help without feeling that I have failed.
