A Prayer for Emotional Healing
Not every wound is visible. Grief, betrayal, trauma, shame, and long-held hurt can affect the heart for years. This prayer asks for emotional healing that is truthful, gradual, and supported by wise help when needed.
Father, there are wounds in me that other people cannot see. Some come from what was done to me, some from what I regret, and some from losses I still carry. Bring healing without forcing me to pretend I am fine. Help me name what happened truthfully. Lead me toward safe people, wise counselors, and healthy support where needed. Free me from shame that does not belong to me and from bitterness that keeps me tied to the past. Heal slowly, deeply, and honestly, and teach me that recovery does not have to happen all at once.
