A Prayer for Healing From Addiction
Addiction often requires spiritual, medical, psychological, and community support. This prayer asks for freedom while recognizing that recovery usually involves honest accountability, treatment, and repeated choices over time.
Merciful God, I need freedom from what has taken too much control over my life. Give me courage to stop hiding and to seek real help. Lead me toward trustworthy treatment, recovery support, wise accountability, and people who will tell me the truth with compassion. Strengthen me in moments of craving and help me understand the patterns that lead me back. When I relapse or fail, keep shame from convincing me to give up. Teach me to take responsibility, repair harm where possible, and walk toward freedom one day at a time.
