A Prayer for Strength During Treatment
Treatment can be physically and emotionally demanding. This prayer is for chemotherapy, radiation, rehabilitation, medication regimens, or any season when healing requires endurance over time.
Faithful God, give me strength for this course of treatment. Some days I may feel hopeful, and other days I may feel exhausted or afraid. Help me take one appointment, one dose, one exercise, and one day at a time. Protect my body as much as possible from harmful side effects and help my medical team adjust wisely when needed. Give me people who can help with practical needs. When I am too tired for many words, receive even my silence as prayer. Sustain me through the process and renew my hope when it weakens.
