A Prayer for Recovery After Surgery
Recovery after surgery can involve pain, dependence, frustration, and slow progress. This prayer asks for protection from complications, wise care, and patience with the body's healing process.
Lord, thank You for bringing me through surgery. I ask for steady healing in the days ahead. Protect me from infection and complications. Give wisdom to those monitoring my recovery and help me follow instructions carefully. When pain or limitation frustrates me, give me patience. When progress feels slow, help me notice small signs of strength returning. Restore what can be restored, and give me grace for each stage of healing.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
