A Prayer to Carry Love Forward
Grief changes over time, but love does not simply disappear. This closing prayer asks for wisdom to carry memory forward in a way that honors the person who died while still allowing life to continue.
Faithful God, help me carry love forward without feeling that moving forward means leaving someone behind. Let memories become part of my life without controlling every day. Show me how to honor what was good, learn from what was painful, and remain open to new relationships, new joy, and new purpose. When guilt appears because I laugh, travel, celebrate, or begin again, remind me that love is not betrayed by life continuing. Walk with me as grief changes shape, and teach me to live with both remembrance and hope.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
