A Prayer for Protection From Harmful Relationships
Not every relationship is safe. This prayer asks for discernment and courage when someone is manipulative, controlling, threatening, or abusive, and for practical support to move toward safety.
Father, give me clarity about the relationships in my life. If someone is controlling, threatening, deceptive, or abusive, help me see the situation truthfully. Protect me from believing that love requires me to remain in danger. Give me courage to set boundaries, seek help, document what is happening when needed, and move toward safety. Bring trustworthy people who will take my concerns seriously. Guard me from retaliation and from shame that keeps me silent. Lead me toward relationships marked by truth, freedom, and respect.
