A Prayer for My Child at School
School shapes much more than academic knowledge. Children encounter friendships, pressure, comparison, authority, failure, and discovery there. This prayer asks for wisdom, confidence, kindness, and perseverance throughout the school day.
God, be with my child at school today. Give curiosity to learn, courage to ask questions, and patience when something is difficult. Help my child treat teachers and classmates with respect and resist the pressure to fit in by doing what is wrong. Protect against bullying, humiliation, and unhealthy comparison. Give good friendships and the confidence to be kind without needing everyone's approval. When mistakes happen, let them become opportunities to learn rather than reasons to give up.
