A Prayer for a Child Who Is Struggling
A child may struggle academically, socially, emotionally, spiritually, or in ways that are hard to name. This prayer gives parents language for concern without defining the child by the struggle.
Father, You know what my child is carrying, including the things I do not fully understand. I see the frustration, discouragement, or withdrawal, and I want to help without making everything worse. Give me wisdom to listen before fixing. Show me whether my child needs encouragement, professional support, practical changes, firmer boundaries, or simply time and patient presence. Keep me from labeling this child by a difficult season. Remind us both that struggle is not identity. Bring the right people alongside us, and give my child strength to take the next step rather than needing to see the whole path at once.
