A Prayer for a New Home
Moving into a new home can carry excitement, uncertainty, financial pressure, and hope. This prayer dedicates a new space to God without treating the building itself as magical or sacred apart from the lives lived within it.
God, thank You for this new place to live. We receive it with gratitude, knowing that walls and rooms alone do not make a home. Help us fill this space with honesty, kindness, prayer, laughter, rest, and hospitality. Give us wisdom in the responsibilities that come with living here. Protect us from making possessions the center of our identity. May this home become a place where people are treated with dignity and where Your name is honored in ordinary life.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
