A Prayer to Receive God's Peace
Peace is not always the result of solved problems. Sometimes it is received in the middle of unresolved circumstances. This final prayer asks for the kind of peace Scripture describes as deeper than understanding.
Lord Jesus, You promised a peace unlike the peace the world gives. I ask for that peace now. Not a peace built on perfect circumstances, complete control, or guaranteed outcomes, but a peace rooted in Your presence. Enter the places in me that are restless, defensive, exhausted, or afraid. Teach me to breathe more slowly, think more truthfully, and release what I have been gripping too tightly. Guard my heart from panic and my mind from spiraling. Help me receive rest as a gift and peace as an expression of trust. Whatever remains unresolved tonight, I place it before You.
Amen.
