A Prayer for Peace With Myself
Inner unrest is sometimes fueled by self-criticism, regret, or the feeling of never being enough. This prayer asks for a healthier view of ourselves rooted in grace rather than either pride or self-contempt.
Father, I am often harder on myself than I would be on anyone else. I replay mistakes, compare myself to others, and speak inwardly with a cruelty I would never use toward a friend. Teach me humility without self-hatred. Help me take responsibility without turning every failure into an identity. Thank You that in Christ there is grace, correction, and room to grow. Let me rest from the endless argument I keep having with myself.
