A Prayer When Fear Will Not Let Me Rest
Fear can make even a quiet room feel unsafe. This prayer is for nights or evenings when the mind keeps anticipating danger, loss, bad news, or outcomes that have not happened.
Lord God, fear is making it difficult for me to rest. My mind keeps reaching for what could go wrong, and my body responds as though the danger is already here. Remind me that fear is not my master. Give me wisdom to respond to real concerns and grace to release imagined ones. Surround my thoughts with truth. You are with me, You know what I cannot see, and You will meet me in whatever comes. Let trust become stronger than panic and peace deeper than uncertainty.
