A Prayer for My Church and Community in the New Year
A new year is not only personal; communities also need renewal. This prayer asks for churches and neighborhoods to grow in truth, service, justice, and practical care.
God, bless my church and community in the year ahead. Make us less concerned with appearance and more committed to truth, compassion, justice, and service. Help us notice people who are isolated, struggling, or overlooked. Give leaders wisdom and integrity. Teach us to disagree without cruelty and to work together where good can be done. Let our faith become visible in practical love.
