A Prayer for the Fourth Week of Advent
The final days before Christmas invite a deeper focus on love. This prayer reflects on the love of God revealed in sending His Son into the world.
God of love, as Christmas draws near, turn my attention toward the love revealed in Christ. You did not remain distant from human weakness and pain; You came near. Teach me to receive that love with humility and to reflect it with courage. Help me forgive where I have held resentment, give where I have been selfish, and make room for people who need kindness. Let love become more than a seasonal feeling.
