Thank You for Enough for Today
A culture of constant comparison can make 'enough' difficult to recognize. This prayer is for resisting the pressure to measure life by possessions, income, status, or what others appear to have. It asks for contentment without losing compassion for real needs or responsibility for wise stewardship.
Faithful Provider, thank You for what is enough for this day. Teach me the difference between genuine need and endless desire. Keep me from allowing comparison to turn blessings into disappointments. If I have abundance, make me generous. If resources are tight, give me wisdom, perseverance, and help from the right people. I ask for daily bread, not because I am entitled to ease, but because You invite me to depend on You. Let contentment free me from greed and gratitude free me from fear. Show me how to use what I have in ways that honor You and bless others.
