A Prayer for Healing in the Body
When the body is hurting or unwell, prayer can hold both hope and honesty. This prayer asks God for healing while also welcoming wise medical care, patience, and strength for whatever the recovery process requires.
Heavenly Father, You know every part of my body and every place that hurts. I ask for healing, relief, and renewed strength. Guide the doctors, nurses, therapists, and others who may care for me, and give them wisdom. Help me follow good counsel and be patient with the pace of recovery. Where fear grows, give me peace. Where pain wears me down, give me endurance. I do not know exactly how healing will come, but I place my body in Your hands and ask You to meet me with mercy.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
