A Prayer of Thanks for Small Joys
Some of life's most sustaining gifts are easy to miss because they are small: a good conversation, a favorite meal, a quiet room, music, laughter, or a moment of unexpected kindness. This prayer practices noticing those ordinary mercies.
Father, thank You for small joys that ask nothing from me except attention. Thank You for laughter, good food, music, warm light, a message from a friend, a peaceful room, and moments when life feels simple. Train me to notice these gifts instead of rushing past them. Keep me from believing that only major blessings are worth thanking You for.
Amen.
