A Prayer of Gratitude for the Church
Christian community is imperfect, yet it can become a place of worship, friendship, teaching, service, correction, and care. This prayer gives thanks for the church while asking that gratitude never become an excuse to ignore problems that need truth and reform.
Lord Jesus, thank You for Your church and for the people through whom I have learned, worshiped, served, and grown. Thank You for pastors, teachers, volunteers, friends, and quiet servants whose faithfulness often goes unnoticed. Where the church reflects Your love, help us give thanks. Where it fails, give us honesty, repentance, and courage to change. Keep gratitude from becoming denial, and criticism from becoming cynicism. Build communities where truth and grace belong together.
Amen.
