A Prayer for Those Who Grew and Prepared the Food
Every meal connects us to farmers, growers, drivers, processors, cooks, and many others whose work often remains invisible. This prayer remembers their labor with gratitude and concern for fairness.
Creator God, thank You for the soil, rain, sunlight, skill, and labor behind this food. Bless the farmers, workers, drivers, cooks, and others whose hands brought it to us. Where people are underpaid, exploited, or working in unsafe conditions, bring justice and change. Teach us to receive food with greater awareness and to make choices that respect the dignity of those who provide it.
Amen.
