A Prayer for My Adult Child
Parenting changes when children become adults. This prayer is for continuing to love, support, and intercede without trying to manage choices that no longer belong to the parent.
Lord, my child is grown, and I am learning a new way to love. Help me offer support without control, advice without pressure, and concern without constant interference. Give my adult child wisdom in relationships, work, finances, faith, and major decisions. When I disagree, help me speak respectfully and know when silence is wiser. Remind me that this life belongs ultimately to You, not to me. Teach me to trust what I cannot direct.
