A Prayer When Marriage Feels Distant
Some marriages go through seasons when affection feels weak and conversation becomes shallow. This prayer is for couples who want to move toward each other again even when closeness does not feel automatic.
Father, we feel far apart, and I do not want to pretend otherwise. Somewhere along the way, routine, hurt, exhaustion, or neglect created distance between us. Show us what needs attention. Help us stop waiting for the other person to make the first move in every area. Give us courage to have the conversations we have avoided and patience if closeness returns slowly. Remind us of what was good without forcing us to live in the past. If we need wise counseling, help us seek it without shame. Teach us how to begin again in small, truthful ways.
