A Prayer for Forgiveness Between Spouses
Forgiveness is central to Christian marriage, but it does not erase accountability or remove the need for change. This prayer asks for freedom from bitterness and wisdom about what genuine repair requires.
Merciful God, teach us to forgive without pretending that hurt does not matter. Help us confess wrong honestly, ask forgiveness without demanding it, and make changes that show repentance is real. Free us from keeping permanent records of every failure. At the same time, give us wisdom where trust must be rebuilt slowly. Let forgiveness open a door toward healing rather than becoming a way to avoid responsibility.
