An Opening Prayer for Sunday Worship
The beginning of Sunday worship is a moment to gather scattered attention and remember why the church has come together. This prayer asks for reverence, unity, and a clear focus on Christ.
Father, we gather in Your presence with gratitude. Quiet what is distracted in us and turn our attention toward You. Unite us in Christ despite our different weeks, burdens, and backgrounds. Let our worship be sincere, our listening attentive, and our fellowship marked by love. May everything we do in this gathering honor Jesus and strengthen us to live faithfully when we leave.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
