A Thanksgiving Prayer for the Year Ahead
Thanksgiving arrives near the end of the year, making it a natural moment to look forward as well as back. This prayer places the coming months before God.
Faithful God, as I give thanks for what has been, I also place what is ahead in Your hands. Guide the decisions, relationships, work, and changes of the coming months. Keep me from carrying tomorrow's worries into today's gratitude. Give me courage to plan responsibly and humility to accept that not everything can be controlled.
