A Prayer for Guidance in a Difficult Conversation
Difficult conversations require more than choosing the right words. They require timing, restraint, listening, and clarity about what the conversation is meant to accomplish.
God, guide me before I speak. Help me know what needs to be said, what can be left unsaid, and what tone will serve the truth best. Keep me from speaking simply to win, punish, or prove myself right. Give me timing, patience, and the ability to listen. If I need to apologize, make me sincere. If I need to set a boundary, help me do it clearly and respectfully.
