A Prayer for a Loved One in Pain

Jesus, my loved one is in pain, and I wish I could take it away. Please bring relief. Guide the doctors and caregivers toward effective treatment and careful symptom control. Help my loved one communicate what they are feeling without fear of being a burden. Give us patience, gentleness, and practical ways to help. Keep pain from swallowing every moment and bring small spaces of rest and comfort.
