A Prayer Before a Simple Meal
Not every meal is abundant or elaborate. This prayer gives thanks for simple food without pretending that financial strain or limited options are easy.
God, this meal is simple, and I receive it with gratitude. Thank You for what is here. Where resources feel limited, give wisdom and provide what is needed. Protect me from comparing my table with someone else's. Teach me contentment without making me passive about real needs. Let this food strengthen me, and help me remember that dignity is not measured by abundance.
