A Prayer to Release Anger Before Bed
Anger can replay itself through the night, keeping an offense emotionally alive long after the conversation has ended. This prayer asks for release without pretending that wrong behavior does not matter.
Lord, I am still angry about what happened today. You know what was unfair, hurtful, or disrespectful. I do not want to deny it, but I also do not want anger to own my night. Keep me from imagining revenge, rehearsing arguments, or hardening my heart. Show me whether I need to forgive, confront, set a boundary, or seek help. I release to You the part that belongs to justice beyond my control. Guard my heart while I sleep and prepare me to respond with wisdom rather than rage.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
