A Prayer for the Poor and Vulnerable
National well-being cannot be measured only by economic growth or public success. This prayer centers people who carry the greatest burden when systems fail.
God of mercy, remember those in our nation who struggle to afford food, housing, healthcare, safety, or basic stability. Protect children, older adults, people with disabilities, and those easily exploited. Give wisdom to communities and leaders shaping policies that affect their lives. Show us where personal generosity and public responsibility must work together. Keep us from looking away because someone else's hardship feels inconvenient.
Amen.
